The Shooting Star Picture Company's D-Star is pleased to announce a partnership with the Australian Independent Record Labels Association (AIR) to provide media distribution services for Australia's 300+ indie record companies through the Play MPE® music delivery software.
The deal sees the industry body enable all its members join major independents Shock, Inertia, Remote Control, Liberation, Shogun and many more who are all using the system to service pre-release music to the media. With major labels Universal, EMI and Warner also utilising the system, Play MPE® has firmly become the industry standard for promotional music delivery in Australia.

EMI and Shock Choose Play MPE® to Distribute Music Digitally to Media

The Shooting Star Picture Company's D-Star division has welcomed in 2009 with the announcement that EMI Music and Shock Entertainment Group have joined Universal Music Australia and Warner Music Australia in utilising Play MPE® as the system of choice for the distribution of promotional music to radio and other media.
The agreement gives media a single destination for almost all of their promotional music needs, allowing record companies to securely send singles, albums and other promotional assets digitally in CD quality without cumbersome DRM to close to 1000 registered Australian media users.

Universal Music Australia Chooses Play MPE® To Digitally Deliver Pre-release Music
Sydney, Australia, November 4, 2008 – The Shooting Star Picture Company and Universal Music Australia are pleased to announce the migration of all Universal Music digital servicing to PLAY MPE®, Australia's new industry standard for the delivery of promotional content to radio and other media. Warner Australia Chooses Play MPE® to Digitally Distribute Pre-release Music to Media

System Activity Approaches 6 Million Including Downloads - 135% Increase Over Same 2007 Period

Destiny Media Technologies (DSNY OTCBB) announces record numbers in system activity for its Play MPE® digital delivery system compared to the same period last year. Play MPE® further cements itself as the industry standard for digital delivery and proving to be the only system of choice for broadcasters and record labels.
Play MPE® posted dramatic growth over 2007 and continues to lead the industry with the adoption of digital delivery. Record numbers across the board includes a 135% increase in downloads, streams, burns and exports totaling almost 6 million in activity. Users jumped over 52% to 21,476 installed and tracks in the system exploded to almost 87,000 representing an increase of 80% compared to June 2007.

Destiny Media (DSNY.OB) announces record numbers in users and deliveries this year for its Play MPE™ digital distribution system as 2007 draws to a close. The past year has served to cement Play MPE™ as the radio and record industry standard for digital delivery, statistically proving what the industry has known for years.
Play MPE™ continued to lead the way during the ongoing transition within the music industry from physical CD distribution to streamlined digital distribution, posting increases across the board in user numbers, downloaded tracks, songs in the system library and tracks delivered. Play MPE™ users jumped from 11,500 in 2006 to 19,500 in 2007 while tracks downloaded exploded from 700,000 to 2,000,000 – an increase of 185%. The Play MPE™ song library more than doubled in 2007, expanding from 32,000 to over 67,000 tracks. Possibly the most telling statistic for the success of the system is the astounding gap between Play MPE™ and the closest comparable system, with Play MPE™ delivering 92 million tracks since launch and 60 million in 2007 compared to just one million from the other system.
